Day 3 - Plat Prestwick Old Course. The first Open Championship was held at Prestwick Old Course in 1860, nine years after the club was founded. Prestwick Old Course winds among the sand dunes of the Ayrshire coast, making it a very natural course to play. The course has remained unchanged since the 1850s, making it an exciting test for the modern golfer.
Day 4 - Play Royal Troon and enjoy lunch at the Royal Troon Clubhouse. Founded in 1878 by a few enthusiasts Troon Golf Club soon outgrew its purely local reputation. The Old Course today presents a stern golfing examination and in particular the inward half of Royal Troon is widely accepted as the most demanding of any Course on the Championship rota.
Day 5 - Play Western Gailes, a wonderful links course. It is recognized as one of the finest and true links courses in Scotland measuring 6714 yards from the championship tees. The course has played host to the Curtis Cup, PGA Championship, After golf drive to St. Andrews and check into the Whitecroft B&B for the next four nights.
Day 6 and 7 - If pre arranged tee times for the St. Andrews Old Course have been made, you play the Old Course on Day 6 and the St. Andrews New course on Day 7. If not prearranged, our representative will enter you name in the Ballot for Day 6 and if unsuccessful you will play the New Course. Your name will be entered again for a tee time on Day 7 and if unsuccessful you will play the St. Andrews Jubilee course.
Day 8 - Play Carnoustie, what a treat. Whilst there may be little dramatic background scenery, the beauty of Carnoustie is to be found in the golf course itself. The layout is such that no two consecutive holes face the same direction, a factor that does nothing for the golfer in finding their rhythm in the face of often-stiff winds.and Carnoustie's famous burns that snake their way around the course.
